Cobeo in Action
Learning Experiences
Our flagship learning experience, Dynamics of Collaboration, supports professional development for collaborative practitioners. We’ve delivered it to groups and organisations across sectors. In Canberra, we deliver it in partnership with the ANU McCusker Institute as part of their transdisciplinary social impact curriculum, SOCIETIE.
Our other learning experiences include multi-month Collaborative Practice Labs and the Fostering Collaborative Projects workshop, with more in development.
Bespoke Workshops
We design tailored workshops and support to meet the specific collaborative needs of organisations, networks, and projects. This might be a half-day workshop exploring a particular collaborative challenge, ongoing support for teams navigating complex partnerships, helping projects develop contextually relevant collaborative approaches or convening collaborative conversations for networks/collectives focusing on shared problems. We work responsively across sectors and contexts. Recent examples include:
- Managing Collaborative Risk – With ANU Institute for Water Futures
- Enabling Collaborative Museum Research – Local Assemblies with Australian Museums and Galleries Association
- Sparking Cultural Energy – With Australian Centre for Moving Image (ACMI) at Future of Arts, Culture & Technology Symposium (FACT)
- Marrtji Limurr Rrambaŋi Guŋga’yun Yolŋu’-Yulŋuny Mala (Walking together to support Yolŋu people for good health) – A project in Galiwin’ku community run by the Doherty Institute at University of Melbourne
Collaborative Practice Salons
Regular gatherings that explore important but often overlooked themes in collaboration. Part of our Collaborative Cultures program, Salons create space for shared reflection, curiosity, and connection—they’re not workshops, training sessions, or networking events, but something different. Through creative hospitality, we establish conditions for collaborative practitioners and the collaboration-curious to think together across differences and experience.
Featured Partners
We’re proud to work alongside organisations including ANU McCusker Institute, Australian Museums & Galleries Association, ACT Community Development Network, ANU Institute for Water Futures, ACMI, and the Walking Together to Support Yolŋu Health Program.
