From November 2025 through March 2026, we took The Dynamics of Collaboration on the road — visiting Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, and Sydney. Delivered in partnership with our Collaborative Cultures Program and the Australian Museums and Galleries Association, and facilitated by Dr Maya Haviland and Sejul Malde, each session brought together a wonderfully diverse group of practitioners ready to deepen their collaborative practice.

Across all four cities, participants explored the human and relational side of collaborative work — working through guided activities, reflective exercises, and research-backed frameworks that are at the heart of the Dynamics of Collaboration learning experience. You can read more about what the experience involves here.

We were especially glad to welcome practitioners from the cultural, community, and not-for-profit sectors, and to see the richness that mixed cohorts bring. Subsidised places supported AMaGA members, students, unwaged practitioners, First Nations participants, and people from smaller organisations — and we’re grateful to everyone who made the time and found the means to join us.

Thank you to our wonderful venue partners — Flinders University in Adelaide, WA Museum Boola Bardip in Perth, Powerhouse Museum Discovery Centre in Sydney, and QAGOMA in Brisbane — and to everyone who participated, shared, and contributed to these conversations.
